Hello Granite Mountain parents and guardians! My name is Rylee Kulka and I am so excited to be your child's 5th grade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher.
This is my very first year of teaching! In May, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education with emphasis in Reading and English as a New Language from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota! I am originally from St. Paul, Minnesota and that is where my family continues to live! My mom works at a printing company and my dad is a mailman. I have a 19 year old sister attending Boise State, a brother who is a senior in high school and a sister who is a freshman in high school.
Sometimes ‘NEW’ can be a bit overwhelming. Your student are in a new school with new teachers, new classrooms, new schedules etc. but new can be EXCITING! Your student will meet new friends, learn new ideas, and have opportunities to participate in new activities throughout the year! We have many fun and engaging projects planned in Language Arts and Social Studies as well as Math and Science with Mr. McCrady! Having a great attitude each day, participating in class, and always trying your best will help you enjoy this year even more!
